Cancellations, changes & the northern lights

Plans change, and so does the sky. Here is how it works.

Cancelling or changing your booking

You can cancel, or move your booking to another evening, free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. Cancellations are refunded in full to your original payment method; changes to another date depend on availability. Within 24 hours of departure, and in the case of a no-show, the booking is non-refundable. To cancel or make a change, contact us at info@aurorahuntsaariselka.com. All times refer to the local departure time in Finland.

Being on time for your pickup

Pickup times are exact. If your pickup is Saariselkä (Holiday Club) at 23:00, the car leaves at 23:00 — it cannot wait, so that the guests at the other pickup points are collected on time. Please be at your pickup point and ready a few minutes before your time. If you arrive after the car has left, this is treated as a no-show and the booking is non-refundable.

If we cancel

In the rare event that we have to cancel your departure, you may move to another available evening at no extra cost, or receive a full refund — whichever you prefer.

About the northern lights

The aurora is a natural phenomenon and can never be guaranteed. We know the area and the season, and we take you out to hunt it — but nature decides whether it appears. A tour that goes ahead is not refunded if the aurora does not show.
